We are very grateful for the team of volunteers from Network Rail, who braved the cold on Wednesday (thankfully it had stopped snowing) and what a tremendous difference to the area of the Churchyard at the North-East end. During a much-earned refreshment break they said that they would be very pleased to come and spend another day with us.
Our “Holy Mowers” were working hard as well, although cold the sunshine was lovely. Should you be worried that the Remembrance Wreaths are no longer on the War Memorial. Rick has kindly taken them home to remove the snow and ice and general dry them out. He will not return them until Storm Bert has passed. They will then be placed on the wreath holder. Thanks Rick.
